My family originated from Faial, Azores and the first in our family tree to tally to the unite States was my great, great granddad, Joseph Silveira Leal and he worked as a groom and sh becropper until he had enough money to buy 27 acres worth of land in the rush San Jose set ab egress that became the Leal Ranch. He and so married Julia Perry in a house on Castro path. They had a son, Joseph Clarence Leal, and they worked hard in rise cows and growing crops in the hilly arena of bursting charge San Jose area. In 1923, Joseph and Julia sold a portion of the original keeping and used that money to build a better primary on the lower end of the bed covering.
